I have been looking for ways to get my game, Raven of the Scythe (link in the signature) out there and noticed. I know that a lot of people play on virtual table tops like fantasy grounds and I was looking for opinions about trying to get the rule set for my game supported on that platform.
I have a small background with coding, nothing fancy but I am very diligent and persistent, so I would be more than will to do the coding for the ruleset myself if it is at all possible.
Do you think this would be a good way to make my game available to more player? Do you think FG would be into having a very very small scale indie game on their platform? Would I even need their help or approval to do this?
I am mostly just thinking out loud here. Any thoughts or opinions about this idea are more than welcomed.
It would differentiate your game from others. I could see it viable for sales promotion, but how much ROI is unknown. The big question will be how much effort will be needed to get your game working (and tested) on FG. You might want to get opinions directly from the FG forums to see if their players would even consider new systems.
Thanks for the input.
How this all started was, since I live in a pretty small town and dont have too many opportunities to get my game in front of people, BUT if I could put it on a virtual table top, maybe I could run games with people as a way to sort of show it off.
Just where my head is at and where I was going with it.
