This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Hey guys!

I just finished an 18 week run with Mage: The Awakening at my game club, and I thought I would share it here.

It's a 3 Act Chronicle that focused on teaching new players all the stuff they need to learn about mages, Awakening itself, and eventually culminated in the defeat of a powerful spiritual threat.

The total game time was roughly 66.5 hours, and my players had a great time with it.  There was almost no combat, but there were a lot of dice rolls.  Mostly however, it was all about spiritual warfare and modern occultism.

The background setting is also detailed somewhat.  It's a rather long log, but anyone interested in running a Mage chronicle might find it useful.  Of course I'd be happy to answer any questions about the system, situations or anything else for that matter.

If nothing else, just know that someone, somewhere played a Mage: The Awakening chronicle and no one had a bad time.  :D
