This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Ghost Whistler

What other sites (aside from rpg.net) is a good palce to discuss game and setting design?
"Ghost Whistler" is rated PG-13 (Parents strongly cautioned). Parental death, alien battles and annihilated worlds.

Storygames is a hotbed of conceptual engineers who give great feedback, even on non-storygames. Good place to pose your Wuxia queries.

Oh yeah I've been meaning to check that out. There just isn't much if any feedback around here. There also seems to be some activity over on Strolen's Citadel, some really amazing ideas there, but constructive criticism seems to get squashed from reading the comments. Maybe it was just the few I read.

I joined both, thanks for the links. But Story Games has yet to authorise me. perhaps I'm not story enough for them, but membership requires you inputting your real name (or at least pretending). I don't care to do that, personally. If I did, I wouldn't call myself Ghost Whistler. That's just a personal quirk.

I encountered the same thing ... it fell on that "real name" for me, so i think i'll check out the other one instead ;)
I may not dislike D&D any longer, but I still dislike the Chaos-Lawful/Evil-Good alignment system, as well as the level system.
;)

Do they discuss new systems? Or is it mainly focused on worldbuilding? (Which is fine, mind you. Just curious.)

both.  Pretty small active community, but lots of conversation, and lots of IRC and online gaming going on.

I remain unsure about all these online communities: particularly G+ (i have a google account) and Facebook (which seems horribly insecure and when I last tried to join I was asked for a phone number). However I do appear to be able to post on Story-Games. This should be interested!

I wouldn't worry about not being able to post immediately.  A lot of forums in the past couple of months have been under hacker attack from China, so a lot have implemented tighter registration rules. Citizens of the Imperium almost crashed from it.
