This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: Benoist;487820I got 18 Dwarven Forge sets in all. I would like to get more at some point. This is an addictive passtime. And yes, this is a collection you build over a long period of time. You don't rush and spend thousands of dollars in two weeks on those things. It's done bit by bit, over years and years like you build an RPG collection.

Eighteen?! Holy cow. You win, man. :o

You should have called the thread "Enter the Lambrinth"

Those sets you have are just crazy. I still think we should use the magnetic tiles system. Cheaper and easier to set up. I will post a thread about it if we plunge into building it.

We need to redo Dante's death.

We forgot about Sentinel, Dante's sword

Looks like may have not ran away after all.

I did indeed forget about that, and that detail might change everything. You should have remembered that though, because it's your character. I'll update this journal, and then we'll figure something out...

Sacrificial Lamb

Shit. I wrote a long post, and my computer ate it. Back to the drawing board.. :(

Sacrificial Lamb

....continued from before. Again.

The PC's leap back in surprise at the arrival of this fiery creature. It seems to be a Fire Elemental, and it appears to be...hostile. Horatio tries reasoning with it in Elven...

Horatio: "Stop! We come in peace."
Fire Elemental: "Dieeee, Elf Kin!!"

It's in no mood to play nice. The Fire Elemental rushes across the room, and viciously attacks Horatio. Rufus and Meatlips leap aside, to avoid getting french-fried.

While the creature attacks Horatio, he is finding it incredibly difficult to focus on using his abilities when the Fire Elemental is right in his face, so he comes up with a plan, and retreats to the relative safety of the pool of water on the other side of the room. He leaps over here:

The creature stops in its tracks, seemingly not to keen on attacking Horatio when he is immersed in the waters of the pool. The other PC's enter the room, and the Fire Elemental then switches targets, turning its attentions to Rufus and Meatlips.

The creature frantically attacks the PCs, so Horatio casts the infusion, Censure Elementals, and the elemental recoils in pain. The other characters flee towards the pool of water, while Horatio makes a successful Intimidate skill check on it..

Horatio: "Cease your attack...now!"
Fire Elemental: (cowering) "Enough! You are killing me! End the spell, and I will trouble you no more.."

The creature is crudely speaking in the Common tongue now, and they parley with it. They eventually order it to leave, and it does so by entering the circle, and vanishing in a swirling whirlwind of fire...

The Warforged, Kratos, notices that Fnord and his sidekicks have left, exiting via another doorway, while the other characters examine the room, and find some loot.

Next session begins...

The characters decide to go off, and locate Fnord and his comrades. They enter the other room where Fnord went, and see this:

The characters hear chanting, possibly by Fnord, on the other side of that portcullis.

Fang suddenly appears.

He glares at them from the other side of the portcullis. The PCs try to talk to him, with Lucy trying to gently placate the beast, but instead he grabs the bars of the portcullis, and stares down at them. Meatlips looks up at the great white ape, and lets loose a low growl in his throat, and then Kratos steps forward, coldly staring into the Fang's eyes. The two try to stare each other down....

The PCs then hear Fnord's voice...

Fnord: "Fang! Get over here!"

Fang steps away from the portcullis, and his sinuous bulk disappears when he moves around the corner.

Sacrificial Lamb

...continued.

Dante decides to investigate the activities on the other side of the portcullis, and assumes ectoplasmic form. He squeezes through the bars, and sees....

......Fnord, Fang, and Limper hunched over by the altar in this chamber.

To be continued tonight....
