I like the second one a lot better. The title inside the ship just feels boxy, contained. The second one gives an art deco feel, and melds well with the sci-fi aspect of the game, if that makes any sense to you.
I like the "capsule" aspect of the second one. It's a logo you can recognize even if you can't actually read the title within.

I like the second one too.

My suggestion is to move the words Derelict Delvers closer together to almost form a circle and make the ship semi-transparent. It offers instant brand recognition (Derelict Delvers) and implied setting (spaceship).

Good start.   What about a retro-font like the cover splashes of the 1950 sci-fi books and maybe even EC comics style fonts?

The second is great and really gets my attention.

The first one doesn't really inspire.

Interesting, I'd struggle to say why in each case.
