Title: Good Fantasy Fonts (That can be used in a commercial product?)
Post by: Narf the Mouse on December 26, 2008, 07:07:28 PM
I'm looking for a fantasy-style font that is readable and interesting to look at.

Thanks. :)

Wyld (http://www.orbitals.com/self/ligature/ligature.htm): designed to mimic English printing from the 1700s. Can be freely used, but not distributed.

First Order (http://www.iconian.com/f.html): Useful for headings, rather than normal text. Free for non-commercial use, for commercial use you have to make a donation to his favourite charity.

I have several others, but what did you want to use it for, headings or normal text?

Mostly, I'm looking for options, rather than a specific use.

BD Renaissance (http://www.dafont.com/bd-renaissance.font) and Spiral Initial (http://www.dafont.com/spiral-initials.font).

both are mostly interesting for the capital letters. Not sure about the license for either of them.

Tempus Sans ITC is my personal favourite, I use it for just about everything.  It is a handwriting style font, and is complete, including the weird characters for the British Pound and paragraph formatting that most non-commercial fonts don't have.
