I read the forge.com theories about gaming, how it evolved from the shallow depths of early D&D demon dung - digging and senseless orc bashing (GAMISM) over the gurpsian statistification of the physical world emerging from these humble beginnings (SIMULATION) all the way to the current state-of-the-art, NARRATIVISM; where players actually tell STORIES, not just roll dice and dream-wank about being like Conan. Happily I went at creating my own design to improve my playing to current levels. Sadly, it wasn´t well recieved at the forge.com. Mean words were said, some even said it broke their hearts. ? ? :confused::confused::confused:

But it was not build to last! My way and the Edwardian way parted amicably (more or less) at last. I went to this place to further improve my game, but was shocked about the current state of discussion. It seems you are not up to current standards of design around here? Nowhere am I reading a thorough discussion about GNS, SIS, CR-TR, EXPLORATION, DRIFT, vanilla-pervy, fMRI, IIEE, FitM, DFK, ... as the introduction of any design idea ...
How comes you, clearly well-spoken, thoughtfull people, reject the current scientific standards of RPGing? Why are you stuck in the "dark ages", so to speak, of gaming?

I guess you still think of "Game Masters" and attributes+skills as being the standard? But surely there must be a reason for this madness. Explain yourself to me! Why don´t you accept NARRATIVISM as the status quo? How will you ever achieve COHERENCE without?
