This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

The French used technology to displace some of their architectural treasures when the Big Mistake (i.e. nuclear war) occurred.
One such treasures is the Mont Saint Michel which ended up... right in front of my home?

:D

Doom

I thought the Big Mistake had something to do with the Large Hadron Collider?
(taken during hurricane winds)

A nice education blog.

4e definitely has an Old School feel. If you disagree, cool. I won\'t throw any hyperbole out to prove the point.

Quote from: ColonelHardisson;410455The thread title puts me in mind of Dio.
Dio as in... Black Sabbath-Dio?

It is a 'shop job from yours truly.
I basically added the Mont Saint Michel onto the hill I can see from my window (I took the original shot myself). :)

Meh, my ex-wife's dad went to high school with him ,and played drums in a very early band of Dio's. He describes Dio as, and I quote, "a whiny bitch".

That describes a large proportion of high school students.

True, so imagine how much of a whiny bitch Dio must have been to stand out after all these years.

...and the resulting ramshackle Favela-like growth after a few years around the Abbey.  (plus more bldg damage!) ;)

i wrote the Dead; you can get it for free here.

Seems like a very picturesque view, even without the Abbey. But neat little photoshop job.

I think it's a good illustration for the French lesson of the day : "ravitaillé par les corbeaux" (resupplied by crows, i.e. the boonies)
