That means that it has to be attributed, (to me, Peter Seckler) but you can use any of this art however you like.

I gotta come up with a way to use that dragon...
Nice work AM. I like the goblin riding the turbo turkey. To this day I'm still trying to learn how to draw utilizing an entire sheet of paper.
Nice stuff, thanks for sharing.

Rock on, Peter! I'm not even sure what the second one is (a mounted goblin on... something?) and it still kicks ass!
If I understand the license well, these drawings can be colored/modified as long as you are still credited?
Thanks, man!
I like these a lot! They remind me of the HARP artwork. And they're better than Kevin Siembieda's--you should offer to do a Palladium charity auction.
Nice work, Peter. My fave so far is the mounted goblin.

Thankls everyone. :)
It was meant to be a goblin mounted on an Axebeak, heh. Or a Clubnek, if you speak Fiend Folio.
Yes. Even used in a for-pay project or on websites or whatever. I just need some kind of attribution, no compensation.
These are all from 1999-2000. I had nearly forgotten about them.
Nice Abyssal, I'd have to completely change from Sci Fi to fantasy to use them but I appreciate your sharing!
Good stuff.
For some reason they scream Wilderlands of High Fantasy to me. Blackmoor too. There's a subtle sci-fi aesthetic at work that I can't quite put my finger on.

Please do. It'd be a cool forum challenge to build a coherent setting around your illustrations.

Haha, yes. ;)
Wowzers, some great sci fi illustration. Are you a pro illustrator, Abyss?
Kudos to you Abyss! I *seriously* want to learn how to draw like that!
Nope... although the line is kind of blurry when you are dealing with RPGs. I'm just an amateur and this sketchbook stuff.
Your'e welcome to any of it.

Damn if i don't want to do something with that frog though! :D
I have some color stuff coming, but I think the quality is a bit low. This is stuff I used to have on Elfwood.

The two latest batches are even more appealing to me. And this...
Quote from: Abyssal Maw(http://the-never.net/doodles/mogmawl1.gif)
... is something else
entirely. The composition is so evocative and there is a vibe of savagery, chaos and all-around badassness.
There are several pieces here I want to use but this one... this one is worthy of cover status. I'll try to see what happens when I enlarge it.
So, let's just put it all together: You make badass illos, you draw cool, intricate dungeons, you actively game... is there
something you suck at, gaming-wise? Or are your players just a bunch of lucky bastards?

:D
It's a joke, people...I kid because I love...
Haw!
Most of the pictures here are from my own campaigns, though. (Not all..)
I have been kinda lazy with art recently. I tried to learn color and it was kind of hit and miss. I'll post some color stuff next week, but I don't think it's that good.
Here's a couple from a campaign two years ago:
Glauranda, Dwarf Citadel. (Although not obvious here, this was supposed to be underground, part of another multilevel dungeon. See if you can identify the sub-levels...
I'm going to go take a nap.

Man, that's well over a dozen that I have saved now! I made a folder for them, with your name and all for proper attribution.
Just for fun, I tried to find other artists yesterday that had work under the creative commons but it is tough to locate them. I found one doing anime-ish soft porn and his CC was restrictive.
Before I hit "submit", obligatory mention that Peter rocks.

A piece for a Rifts thing I did a while back. I love his useless little wings.
This is kind of the end of it (my old stuff, anyhow). I actually cut out several of the color pieces because I didn't think they were that good. Not that these are amazing, but theyre kind of representative.
Thanks very much. All of this is CC 3.0, you can alter publish, sell, slap them on a website, chop them up for your rock band flyers, .. whatever. Anyone is welcome to it. I just want attribution as per the CC License!

Just curious Maw, what type of tools did you use for your drawings and are you self taught? Do you use models or do you just draw from ideas off the top of your head? Do you frame around center lines or just draw? I ask because I'm still in the doodling at work stage with a mechanical pencil and am always interested how others approach their drawings.

Most of these were just drawn with pencil and paper. Some of them were inked with like.. a sharpie. I use the cheapest artist supplies I can find, usually, at least when it comes to pens.
Later on some of them were done with Wacom tablet using Paint Shop Pro (the color ones, especially).
I don't use models or anything; I use a method where the shapes are roughed out first, posed, then kinda fleshed out. Most "how to draw" books show the same method I use.
Nice work, AM!
Never would have guess you have that sort of talent. :D

I'm impressed, specially with the black and white art. I would love to see such art in an RPG.
Thank you for showing us. :)
new piece. Just because I was bored...
This probably looks better at the resolution I drew it at (which was much higher, but I saved it to 500x500 pixels). So..a lesson learned. I drew it online over at Queeky.com. Settembrini was showing me some art from DSA 1st Edition which had a neat ink-wash technique I was trying to copy that style.. (using kinda clumsy java web applet...). I'll do future pieces at a better resolution and try again later...
Like the others, it is posted here as creative commons. I am available for commissions!

sorry to necro, but Peter, I just wanted to let you know I'm finally getting around to the latest version of our homebrew campaign setting primer, and this went right on the cover. All of 12 people will see it, but it was attributed to you. My thanks, man--I think I'm using a few other pieces throughout. I'll send a copy when it's finished.

I really like your work with the darker lines (I'm assuming ink or a pen is used above).
It is very nice, please keep it up.
:)
Hey Maw,
Do you do much work with modern or supernatural pieces?
Hello all,
Peter, I wanted to thank you for the art. I run an OSR mega dungeon podcast called The Iron Realm and I am putting the finishing touches on a written companion guide to the show. I am pleased to announce that your art is being used in the book along with other artwork donations. Anyone interested in hearing the podcast is welcome to join the action. It is a solitaire dungeon challenge rendered in the dark fantasy style.

Thank you again for giving this art to the community.

Yeah, thanks for sharing - good stuff!
Is the art gone?
