Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

You folks know about "Settlers of Catan"? We played a game this weekend where you took a drink for each card you got. Oy.

But anyway, we worked it like you took sips of (your drink of choice), rather than shots. You can have a lot more frequently/mechanically motivated drinks in the game without overdoing it.

Malleus Arianorum

The traditional drink of Pirates is Grog, an inexpensive mix of rum and water invented by a stingy Captain with a Grog coat (a poor mans raincoat, fabric waterproofed with wax.)

But dont' be too stingy, water is lethal if consumed to quickly. Water_intoxication

Party safe versions of flogging, swabbing the deck, cleaning the head, walking the plank, being thrown in the brig, clapped in irons or towed in the dinghy could be adapted with far less lethality.

Losers dig and row,
Winners Yo-ho ho!

Watered-down rum... there's a thought.

And cool contest ideas.

For the record and for anyone else who tries this: if you're GMing, DON'T MAKE IT SO YOU PERSONALLY HAVE TO DRINK FOR ALL THE NPCs.

That is all.

And don't ask me how it went; I don't remember most of it.
