Designer Chat!

When are we doing this? Who wants to be the first designer? Who wants to be involved? I figure we might as well use MIRC, and RPGsite to help get information out about our works, plans, companies, etc.

We talked about it before, but who all wishes to be involved? I'm going to start hosting one, details will be worked out in the next week.

What are you talking about? A chat between designers? A chat with one designer and questions? General kibbitzing? What's the plan, Tim?

I was thinking of:

A) A regularly scheduled "Meet the designer." Style chat. Where we get those designers we know to show up and answer questions by fans/friends about their design ideas, where they're going, and what they'd like to do.

B) A sort of regularly scheduled general chit-chat amongst designers. (Laid back, just to shoot the breeze leaning heavily on gaming topics.)

The idea is general to allow a bit more information to come out about future designs among everyone, and also help get a bit more in touch with each other. So cool things get both discussed. (Not per se a promotion, exactly.) Yet also, to see if there are other people who might be able to talk to about your designs, get some light feedback, etc, etc.

Anyone interested? I'd like to see about scheduling one for February 3rd, at 8pm CST on IRC (Magicstar Server, #rpgchat.)

This will be just a basic meet and greet to get things rolling. With more serious chats later.

A scheduled chat with other designers would be interesting, but I've got no favorite designers right now that I'd be interested in chatting with.

10pm? That would be 7am for you? Or Should we go the other way?

CST is GMT-6, so 10pm would be 4am, 8pm is actually 2am. It would need to be nearer 5pm CST, which would make it 11pm GMT. As it is a work day, I think most people won't be able to make 5pm!

I think I might have to sit this one out (save the log for me) and if you do one at a weekend, I'll be well up for that.
