This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Hi everyone.  I have started my first design blog for my upcoming Stormrift setting.  It's still in the early stages, but I like how it's progressing.  Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Pete

EDIT:  Also, please let me know if the theme is too hard on the eyes.

I'll not see the theme - I've subbed to your blog in Reader!

Then theme isn't too hard on the eyes. Stormrift sounds like a SF version of TORG, with a single unified front. This may not be a bad thing, albeit I'd like to see some tailoring of the enemy by the GM. (Decide what axis of power they use: Tech/magic, energy/matter, physical/mental) but that's because the Korr don't sound all that exciting to me as an enemy threat so I'd want some customization of the enemy.

Hi silverlion,

Stormrift is still very much a work in progress, but I hope to have more about the Korr up soon.  Their main power lies in their biotechnology which revolves around a sort of cybernetic nanotech organism I'm tentatively calling nanoborgs.  They use these implantsto control other creatures, breeding and training them for maximum efficiency.  Got a lot of cool stuff written down, just need to sort it all out.

Thanks!
