what are the pitfalls, in an action oriented game (i won't say 'cinematic' :D), of a damage system thus:

During the combat round, each player, upon incurring damage, adds that total to a communal pot. At the end of the round, instead of taking damage individually at the time of resolving combat, the players choose how they allocate the current total in the pot amongst their combatants.
"Ghost Whistler" is rated PG-13 (Parents strongly cautioned). Parental death, alien battles and annihilated worlds.

Mostly the same as T&T or FtA!, except that getting the players to agree on any such thing is less likely than getting the GM to agree with himself. :D
