This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Hello, I'm Michal 'Furiath' Markowski, the head of designers of Clanarchy project. It's my debut on theRPGsite forum.

I am pleased to inform you about the start of a new game project - Clanarchy: Dark Fantasy Roleplay.

Clanarchy was published in Poland in 2009 by Copernicus Corporation, the publisher which showed the Polish fans what is Cyberpunk 2020 and which in 2005 published the 2nd edition of Warhammer. Clanarchy was met with a enthusiasm by the Polish RPG fans, receiving excellent notes and reviews from trade media. For several months it was an best-seller of the Polish game shops. Unfortunately, the publishing line couldn’t be continued because, due to the world economic crisis, the publisher resigned from the RPG trade. Last year a 50-page script in .pdf format and free materials were publicized. And still there are more to appear.

Currently, while working on English version of Clanarchy, we rely only on the overall ideas of the Polish edition. We have listened to fans’ opinions and without hesitation we improve the elements which can be even more fun – in the matter of rules and world’s concept as well as in the matter of the handbook’s layout.

Before the moment we opened the game site.

We would like to charm you with a vivid, dangerous world, enchant with comic setting and win over by playable, interesting rules. We hope your involvement – both players and publishers – would enable us to publish an English version of Clanarchy.

We hope you enjoy both our game as well as the current site and presented materials.

I'm curious, how do you like the site? Is everything clear? What is your first impression after reading The Game page?

This looks amazing! Awesome artwork. Intriguing setting.

You should create an English "quick start" PDF that showcases your rules and setting.  Give this away for free.  Use this in your marketing packet for publishing companies.

You should hit up Mongoose Publishing and see how they might help or get involved. They have the experience, know how, and are a clearing house of various RPGs. I love browsing the Mongoose site as I learn about nifty RPGs.

I would LOVE to see more material for this game.  It really looks interesting.

Keep us posted on your search for a publisher!

P.S. This forum can be harsh.  :-D  I understand English is not your first language and I applaud an international market where we all can play different games from different language-speaking peoples. So, don't sweat the small stuff.

Also, check out other sites like //www.rpg.net, //www.enworld.org and //www.penandpapergames.com.  Look for "announcements" and "development" or "industry" forums.

Thanks for your advices. Your enthusiasme is a positive motivation for us.

Now, we are looking for a better translator and we are still designing the game mechanic. After that, will be time for a free demo version (PDF).

The full colour artwork looks pretty interesting.  But without some kind of overview of the rules it's hard to get excited about brooding fantasy.  Because if I want to do brooding fantasy I can do it in any number of systems, Warhammer in particular.

Yes the artwork looks nice and certainly, good luck :)
