This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Best way of handling to-hit modifying stats?

Yeah, I was using A as the 2nd, although on reflection that probably doesn't really count.

The separate to-hit stat I guess does prevent Dex from being uber. But, its still very optimizeable in that pumping all your points into it lets you win the game (OK, unless you're fighting dwarves and your sword just bounces off from not enough STR :) ).

One has to ponder what would be the stats for Warhammer's magic leather armour made out of Dwarven Giantslayer's skin.

And admittedly it works partially in Warhammer (the stat, that is) because it's random and B) still pretty low at the start, I mean 50 tops, 60 if you are a dwarf I think (I'd need to check and I'm lazy).

You know, I actually like the concept of attacks (I've always joked that Attacks are the closest thing WFRP has to levels and CR, which is not that far actually from truth), even if it is something more at place in the wargame than RPG, it's a rather...elegant piece amongst all the other inelegant pieces of WFRP.
Furthermore, I consider that  This is Why We Don\'t Like You thread should be closed

Indeed...though getting the skin is the tough bit...

And yep, its mostly the point buy that's making it tricky.
