This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

A friend who's heavily into science fiction miniature gaming likes the idea of it, as you say, for a cheaper alternative to DF and to add variety.

Oh and, welcome to theRPGSite. Pundie gets cranky (crankier) if he doesn't get soem caek. So hope you brought enough for everyone... ;)

Welcome Vargar, make yourself at home. I don't really use miniatures as they rarely meet the scale of most of the Sci Fi battles my players get themselves into. I'd have to have huge building models, flying cars hovering at all heights around the table and one player with a sniper rifle in a room next door!

Paper does the job for me.

Are you in the process of designing your own game at all?

no i just play D&D 2nd edition and D6 starwars I want to learn warhammer I have alot of space hulk PC games I own a ton of Dwarven forge I just Got my doors and basic set from The Dungeon Crawlz site and im verry impressed!

for a little extra cash the owner made some pretty impressive bliid marks on the floors an green ooze coming out of a drainage hole this stuff is COOL!

....sorry im just really excited i found terrain so cheep I got this stuff on sale and my DF stuff normally cost $99 or more.:D
