This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I was wondering, is there a site which compiles probabilities of results for different dice and dice combinations? For example, a site which would tell me the likelihood of getting 14 on a d20, 2d10, d8+d12, 3d6.... etc. Thanks.

This shows the chance of getting various results on 2d6:

For other size dice, just change the number of rows and/or columns.

For three dice, use the entire spread of results of two dice as one axis (although this method is unlikely to be the easiest way to calculate odds with several dice).

One of those is easy; d20 is the same as d100 / 5, so 14 * 5 = 70%.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, Narf, but isn't there a 5% chance of getting a 14 -- or any other single digit -- on a d20?

Whoop - My brain's a bit slow today because I'm recovering from a cold.

70% is the chance of rolling under or at, 5% for at and 30% for over or at. That should cover everything. :)

14 was just an example plucked from thin air, but I can't believe I was stupid enough to wonder what the chance of getting it on 1d20 was. ;)

Anyway, thanks to you and Age of Fable.

Don't worry; didn't think you're stupid. Did think you had a major 'Figure out Statistics' Disadvantage, though. :)

A bit late to the party, but:

Dice Calc Site #1
Dice Calc Site #2

Both are really good and give the same results. The second one also allows for WW style Target Number mechanics (i.e. success counting). Both give odds for rolling a specific #, vs. rolling over, under, and such.

That second site proved to be *very* useful to me!  Thanks!
